Very few can pull off ranting and raving better than Mike Davidson, and 3D Pro Wrestling in Winnipeg gave plenty of ammo to get him started this week. 3D is promoting an entire show of “death matches” without a wrestling ring and that has prompted Davidson and Jeez Weez (Mecca Shane Madison) to sound off on everything that is wrong with this idea. To say Davidson is pissed off might be an understatement.
Somehow Tony Khan was voted “Booker of The Year” for 2022, and that also seems to leave Davidson in a state of bewilderment.
Mike and JeezWeez go back in time 21 years to talk about a show that really set the stage for their careers. March 3, 2002 “Latino Heat” Eddy Guerrero came to Winnipeg to help put PCW on the map, Mike and Weez share their memories of the night, a few days ahead of the 21st anniversary of that show.

For the first time in '23, Mike & Producer Chris are joined by Mecca Shane who has been missing in action since Christmas time when he left for Mexico. The topic of discussion is Mike & Mecca’s reflections of working with “The Total Package” Lex Luger in 2005 and Marcus “Buff” Bagwell from 2002 through 2008. Both made quite the lasting impression of being funny, charming, professional and great for business. Mike shares a sick rib he pulled on Buff. And Mecca talks about how Lex Luger was really impressed by the kitchen appliance Mecca couldn’t live without.
The focus of the conversation shifts to local wrestling and the current climate in Winnipeg with Primos Wrestling (once referred to on the show as Deer Lodge Wrestling) battling the 14 year established CWE and how things could be getting very interesting. Mike and Jeff opine about whether James Roth makes a better babyface and Chad Daniels makes a better heel.
In the #MaryBrownsMailBag the three are asked which championship belt was their favourite of all time. Oddly enough Ric Flair’s Big Gold does not make the cut.

Mike Davidson calls him the best creative visionary he ever worked with in the wrestling business, and Mike thought so much of his efforts, he made him the lead writer for WFX OVERLOAD in 2010. Liam Phillips joins the show to talk about working with Mike Davidson to develop a very stellar wrestling crew. For the last quarter century the name Scotty Mac has been synonymous with the best the British Columbia wrestling scene had to offer. Not only gifted with in ring talent, Mac also helped build ECCW into one of the best wrestling companies in all of Canada. In the last few years however, the speaking out movement has left Mac much maligned and his company in a state of inactivity. Not shying away from the situation, and willing to speak openly and honestly about everything, Scotty has joined Mike Davidson and Producer Chris and doesn’t hold back, even with toughest and most direct questions. Scotty Mac has already been judged by a lot of people, now is a chance for a lot of people to judge for themselves. What did he do wrong, what didn’t he do but got held accountable for, and what wasn’t his responsibility at all? You’ll have a much better and balanced view after hearing this interview.

With Producer Chris ailing and contagious, Mike Davidson is forced to call into the show and the discussion that ensued might shed a lot of light on rumors around Canadian Wrestling. Chris seemed to lead Mike into a trap by discussing the 4 promotions based in Winnipeg striving to make their mark. Canadian Wrestling’s Elite, Winnipeg Pro Wrestling, Primos (Deer Lodge) Wrestling and now the returning 3D Pro Wrestling are all promoting events. 3 out of the 4 are drawing sell out crowds in their home venues. So naturally Chris gets Mike to point out one very positive thing about each and one negative about each. That also led Mike to discuss how impressive it is that the promoters can draw these kinds of crowds when there is plenty of shared talent and no exclusive wrestlers.
In the next segment, Producer Chris takes Davidson to task on the perception that Mike has a reputation of being “opportunistically honest”. Mike seemed off put by the question but did offer a very lengthy response.
In the #MaryBrownsMailbox Mike fields a tough question about how he as a big advocate for exclusive talent would attempt to establish that kind of policy and which talent would he use in this day in age.

We can’t tell exactly if it was cranky Mike Davidson or just very self assured Mike Davidson, but we definitely got an entertaining version of the host. The independent wrestling economy seems to be healthier than ever in many markets, with attendances ranging between 200 and 350 for shows.
Producer Chris and Davidson discuss if wrestler exclusivity would help or hurt that or if it would even be a non factor. The tragic death of Jay Briscoe and the decision by TBS to prevent AEW from airing any kind of tribute was discussed. Davidson believes the Briscoes were just about to have their best earning years.

The biggest story in 2022 was the retirement of Vince McMahon. The only person who could possibly out do that spectacle in 2023 is none other than Vince McMahon. The embattled major shareholder of WWE is back and ready for more, as he has reinserted himself back in the day to day management of WWE as the man who will guide WWE’s media rights negotiation and potentially even sale as a whole. Mike Davidson has followed the story closely and for the most part offered pretty good insights… and this week is no different. Except he’s got Covid and that seems to have made him one cranky mofo. Will Vince sell? And was this a hostile power struggle? What does this mean for Triple H, Stephanie McMahon or Nick Kahn?

On Wednesday December 28, 2022 the Winnipeg wrestling community lost a builder who was directly responsible for a lot of wrestling fans first memories of a first live show. Bob “Doc” Holliday was the WWF/WWE promoter for decades and was instrumental in bringing some of the biggest stars to town. Tony Condello joins the show to share his thoughts and memories of his longtime friend.
Mike sampled the Jay Gagne creation, Main Event Munchies. According to Mike these pretzels are as good as anything on the market, support local.
In the wrestling business the term “Card Subject to Change” is a way promoters cover their ass when an advertised attraction doesn’t appear. On this edition of The Total BeezSheez Show, Darren Metselaar stands in with zero notice and does not disappoint. Debating with Mike Davidson about if Winnipeg is “the Chicago of the North” or just a flash in the pan. Stryker retorted that you can’t compare AEW at the Canada Life Centre to Deer Lodge Wrestling (Primos). Davidson raves about the vibrant Winnipeg wrestling market where the local indies are drawing big at the same time WWE and All Elite are doing huge numbers. He challenges Impact Wrestling and the other second tier companies (NWA and Major League) should collaborate with the locals to help grow the market.

The career of 27 year veteran Adam Knight has had its share of amazing highs. Appearances as an extra for WWE, being booked in Japan for Tajiri’s Smash promotion, and being one of the top stars in the Central Canadian Wrestling territory. But now his future is at best a very cloudy subject. BeezSheez’s Mike Davidson knows as “The Outlaw” Adam Knight as well as anyone. The two entered the wrestling business at the same time in 1995 and worked extensively together until 2007. Few can offer more insights into the career and behaviors of Adam Knight that could lead to his cancellation. On December 16th, Knight was involved in a physical altercation with fans he would later refer to in a social media acknowledgement as “special needs spectators”. Video of the incident speaks volumes. This has led Knight to commit to taking an extended leave from the wrestling scene. Mike Davidson weighs in on what went wrong and what Adam Knight has meant to pro wrestling in Canada. This isn’t your usual Total BeezSheez Show.
Also, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Vince McMahon is considering regaining control of WWE in March… could this even happen?
