No one person has had a greater impact over the culture of the Winnipeg Wrestling scene from 1999 until today than “The Mecca” Shane Madison. Upon his arrival to the territory in late 1999, Madison’s influence would immediately enhance the quality of local shows. A firm believer in presentation being a key fundamental, Madison’s commitment to being in the gym, tanning and having professional gear helped to elevate the commitment level of other wrestlers around him. From his time with River City Wrestling and then Top Rope Championship Wrestling Madison established himself as a leader.
In 2001, It was Madison who convinced Winnipeg businessman John Nguyen to invest considerable resources to launch Premier Championship Wrestling and hiring Mike Davidson to be the company’s first booker. A few years later, he would again impact the market by introducing Davidson to Jeff Dyck to create AWE which debuted in 2005 with a nationwide Pay Per View broadcast. His in ring career included drawing some of the biggest crowds to local shows in hot angles with TJ Bratt, Mike Davidson, Chi Chi Cruz and Will Damon. “The Mecca” Shane Madison was a true main eventer. Often falsely cited as a locker room politician, Shane Madison offers a candid and honest interview where he tells it like it was and is. A key influencer over Mike Davidson’s promoting career and later Danny Duggan’s career as promoter of Canadian Wrestling’s Elite. In addition to the Madison interview, Mike Davidson shares a wrestling promo he believes rivals the quality of “The Outlaw” Adam Knight. Greg was candid with Mike and Chris sharing stories of the glory days of his tag team with Jim Brunzell, when The High Flyers faced the likes of Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen, The Road Warriors, and Ray Stevens & Pat Patterson. Davidson asked Greg about the 1986 rap video hyping the Wrestle Rock Rumble. The event went on to draw an impressive 23,000 fans. Greg also reflected on being the creative genius behind The Midnight Rockers, after he recruited a kid from Kansas City named Marty Jannetty a dude from San Antonio named Shawn Michaels. The team went onto incredible success in the AWA although they may have been a lot to handle before evil Vince McMahon lured them away to the World Wrestling Federation.
In 1987 if the AWA could have kept Curt Hennig and The Midnight Rockers and built talent around them, could the Gagne’s have turned it all around? Greg answers the question.

The Total. BeezSheez Show has left the studio and decided to podcast from the WPW Don’t Tell Mom The Referee’s Dead show. Mike Davidson argues vigorously that the entire CM Punk fighting with the AEW EVPs is just an elaborate work. In a recent Twitter poll 82% of respondents believe the story as reported is a shoot, but Davidson disagrees. He also believes the Montreal Screw Job was a work and that JFK was murdered due to a conspiracy. He’s probably even a flat earther.
WPW champion AJ Sanchez joins the show. A friendly debate ensues between Davidson and Sanchez about the value of exclusivity or if today’s freelance system is better. AJ talks about running the only training program in Central Canada. And more questions including how Mike Davidson would handle the current chaos in AEW.

Mike Davidson was recently told he was 12 years out of touch from the ways to promote Independent Wrestling, and that definitely seems to have struck a chord with him. So what does our often emotional host do to react? Well it could be referred to as offering an advanced class on marketing pro wrestling. What would we do to develop a market? How could an Indy promotion take steps to be more mainstream? What would he do with an investors money in today’s wrestling landscape? Scheduling was a nightmare but Producer Chris and Mike Davidson remain committed to BeezSheezing about Wrestling, and this episode was no disappointment! Although Mike Davidson did his part in the midst of an 8km walk and it sounds like he’s in a wind tunnel.

E15- The Total BeezSheez Show Happy 80th birthday Tony Condello.
The Man of many myths and an ageless legend, Mr Condello joins Mike Davidson & Producer Chris. Tony will be featured in an upcoming documentary on the wrestling career of Edge to be aired on A&E. Tony also recounts helping discover and name Roddy Piper way back in 1972.
Tony confronts Mike on a tasteless rib he believes was orchestrated by him. And answers if he was ever a ribber or the target of ribs. Over 50 years of promoting wrestling and 80 years of life comes with a boat load of stories and Tony does not disappoint in this interview.
