Mike Davidson doesn’t like talking about mainstream wrestling but somehow he managed to talk about both AEW and WWE.
Mike has a critical assessment of Wardlow vs Orange Cassidy; how could some guy dubbed "Booker of The Year" by Dave Meltzer book the top mid-card babyface against the main event babyface in a match that didn’t impress and did nothing for either guy? Mike and Chris then examine how is Vince McMahon fairing in his current battle with the “Me Too” Movement. Chris comments that Vince spent more money on sex than he did for the purchase of WCW. After spending $12 Million in non disclosure severance packages to former female employees, Mike Davidson wonders why Vince didn’t just start a tinder account and pursue random females instead of employees.
Mike sends a message to independent wrestling promoters: if you are charging money and calling yourself professional wrestling, you owe it to the ticket buyers to hire only qualified talented wrestlers. Using crappy talent would be like a restaurant putting something on their menu they know us crappy quality. The guys dig deeper into the WFX story… how much did it cost to produce each episode of WFX OVERLOAD? Mike Davidson breaks down the money and how much the company was losing, but more importantly what it was making back.

Davidson Calls It, In Literally After taking a one week holiday, Mike Davidson joins the show from a remote location on the phone with Producer Chris in studio.
Is Davidson laying low because of heat after he said “Outlaw” Adam Knight cut one of the worst wrestling promos in history? Absolutely not! Davidson doubles down on his criticism and offers reasons why Knight needs to be produced better to be a more effective talent on independent shows. Davidson goes as far as to offer advice on what gimmick a repackaged Adam Knight should try. For all of those who believe this is the beginning of a wrestling angle, absolutely not, Producer Chris Maxwell believes it is 100% shoot. Knight & Davidson have a storied 27 year history and it’s been way more negative than positive.
We get more of the story of the development of WFX in 2010. In episode 10 Davidson shared what he was told his budget would be, an astounding $2.25M over 3 years to develop a television wrestling league. In this instalment Davidson shares how the rosters came together and that his initial first target for the roster was the late Samoan great Umaga. However his untimely passing led to Davidson pivoting and building the company around Billy Gunn. It’s a fun segment and tons of insight of how the roster was constructed.
Ohio Valley Wrestling is working on a deal with Netflix. How does that affect the middle tier wrestling companies in the United States. Chris and Mike discuss OVW, Impact, NWA, MLW, ROH and which ones have the best chance to explode.
Davidson & Producer Chris speculate on which independent wrestling company is ready to break out and lead the pack. Chris believes that this is a wrestling renaissance while Davidson pours water on that fire and explains why he isn’t that impressed yet.

Arik Cannon shocked the wrestling world when he announced he would run only the second ever wrestling show at Mall of America in Minneapolis. The first event held there was the historic premiere of WCW Monday Nitro on September 4th, 1995. 27 years and 6 days later Wrestling returns when F1rst Wrestling Presents Saturday Nitro Nitro! Saturday night, September 10th. Cannon also shares what it took to put a show of this magnitude together, the challenges and what fans can expect in attendance. In 2004, Cannon wrestled against Bryan Danielson and he recounts how that match had a lasting impact on his career.
Mike Davidson and Producer Chris start what will be a lengthy series discussing the 2010 run of Wrestling Fan Xperience. On this edition Davidson talks about his initial meeting with Jeff Dyck and their early working relationship. How did the vision of WFX come together? Wrestling economics- Davidson has been critical of the ticket price for independent wrestling events. Despite his belief a wrestling show should be priced comparable to a movie theatre ticket, maybe he’s wrong, and has update his numbers to reflect inflating costs for wrestling promoters.
Also, a 27 year wrestling veteran has cut the worst wrestling promo in the history of wrestling. Mike Davidson calls out the culprit and critiques his effort. This promo was so bad it made Jeff Farmer look like The Rock.

Mike Davidson breaks a rule right off the start of the show. Promising to focus on independent wrestling and the economics of it, and ways wrestlers, promoters and fans can improve it, he goes way off on a tear. Davidson is highly critical AEW owner Tony Khan and his recent outburst and attack on Eric Bischoff. Davidson believes it could be an angle set to climax at Starrcast in July, but either way thinks it is stupid, counter productive and makes Khan and the AEW brand look bad. Producer Chris welcomes in fellow podcast host, Scott Mason from the Play Like A Jet podcast based in New York. Stanton started promoting River City Wrestling back in 1993 and was instrumental in launching the careers of Vance Nevada, Adam Knight, Rob Stardom, Shane Madison, Will Damon, Donnie Dicaprio and countless others.
