WPW is on the cusp of eclipsing 1000 tickets sold for Rumble at The Burt, October 24th in Winnipeg. They’ve added Matt Cardona and more to make this show a literal can’t miss.

 Winnipeg wrestling fans continue to be spoiled with all of the promotions offering up their very best! WPW has announced Mike Santana’s debut at 500 Slams of Summer at the Bluenote Park. And if that wasn’t enough Josh Alexander is returning for Rumble at the Burt. Very impressive!
Blaze Pro Wrestling continues to invest in their debut show at Diablo Nightclub.
CWE just had their summer party at Lilac Resort.
And Wrestling United is promising something impressive. Fans have supported all the shows and the promotions are living up to their end.

 If you were a kid growing up a wrestling fan in Canada in the 1980s, you have a familiar feeling when you hear the words MAPLE LEAF WRESTLING. That was the WWF tv show that much of Canada enjoyed from the mid 1980s until the early 1990s. The history of Maple Leaf Wrestling dates back decades before, to the Toronto booking office of Frank Tunney. Now, Canadian wrestling executive Scott D’Amore is bringing it back. It’s the first major move D’Amore has announced since being relieved of his duties as TNA Wrestling President back in February. Mike Davidson and “The Mecca” Shane Madison recently visited with Scott over a few slices of pizza, and offer some reaction to the huge announcement.
Also, is Davidson agitated or inspired by local wrestling politics? When he announced he was returning to promoting some people were very happy, others were not so much. Mike has started to open up about it, but it’s hard to tell if it’s a bad thing or a good thing.

Are the fans of independent wrestling in Winnipeg spoiled? Mike Davidson thinks so. Between the WPW, Blaze Pro Wrestling, CWE, and Wrestling United, fan support has never been better. And the fans are getting treated to some great effort, solid performances and some great attractions. In the past month, Tommy Billington, Frankie Kazarian, D-Lo Brown, Harlon Abbott, Trent Seven, and Jody Threat have all popped up in Winnipeg. And there will be more to come. For fans, it’s a perfect time to show up, cheer loud, support and get full appreciation for their dedication to local independent wrestling.
Mike Davidson and “The Mecca” Shane Madison finally open up about if Wrestling United made a choice to not use certain talent on their shows or if the choice was made for them. And plenty of implications from that.

 If you were at Wrestling United’s Summer Splash on Thursday night, you saw a pretty good show from a company that has only had 2 shows so far. Over 350 fans were in attendance and left happy. This week Mike Davidson & “The Mecca” Shane Madison go over everything that went into the event and led to success.
The breakdown of matches and talk about all the personnel in an expression of appreciation. You will get a full wrap up of the event with comprehensive coverage.
It was the first of 3 shows in Winnipeg in the span of 9 days, CWE held their Cruel Summer event featuring the first in ring match of D-Lo Brown in two years.
And this coming Friday Winnipeg Pro Wrestling returns with “I Know Who You Pinned Last Summer”, at the Blue Note Park. That show is sold out.

“The God of Thunder” Andy Anderson joins the show and talks about how he started at Chalmers Community Club in 1996 and by his 12 match was wrestling at Channel 5 studios in Memphis for Jerry Lawler’s USWA. He took on Brian Christopher. No mailbag this week but an all around great show.

Tension is in the air between two guys who have shared a 25 year friendship. Mike Davidson and “The Mecca” Shane Madison have been through it all, and now Wrestling United and the way it’s booked could cause some real trouble. Madison wasn’t crazy about wrestling TJ Cannon, Mike the booker decided it was in the best interests of the company. And now there is some friction.
Also, 82 year old legendary Canadian wrestling promoter Tony Condello recently experienced his first Uber ride. He was a little uneasy but he eventually got in the unlabelled car.
And how about Winnipeg Pro Wrestling STACKING their card in October Rumble At The Burt! It will now be Donovan Dijak, against Mustafa Ali.
