The thing you NEVER want to see as a wrestling fan is a wrestler with a career ending injury. 30 year Winnipeg wrestling legend Robby Royce is fighting hard to comeback from a serious injury. A broken neck, the result of a recent Tables Ladders & Chairs match, has forced doctors to insert two iron rods into Royce’s neck, while fusing his C2, C3, C4, C5, C6 and C7 vertebrae’s together. Mike Davidson and “The Mecca” Shane Madison talk big time about Royce’s legacy, and the impact of this injury to his future life. Royce has vowed to comeback. Time will tell but right now fans are just pulling for Royce to recover fully.
The PWI 500 ranked Seth Rollins #1, John Moxley #3, Kenny Omega #25. Mike, Mecca & Producer Chris offer who they think should be number 1. Winnipeg’s Mentallo is ranked an impressive #333.

The boys are back in studio and they are lit up. Literally. “The Mecca” Shane Madison is under the influence. CM Punk has been fired and that means Mike Davidson was dead wrong… Mike has believed this whole fiasco was an angle from the start, but now even he has to admit he was wrong. Or is he?
Shane Madison has been in the CWE training ring and it has now been announced that he will be in the Rumble to Remember this fall. There was much consternation about it.

“The Mecca” Shane Madison believes Jordan Garber deserves one day every year to be honoured amongst the local wrestling community. Perhaps an annual battle royal, or at least one show every year that sees all the wrestling companies work together to pay tribute. Jordan was a young man dedicated to Winnipeg Wrestling and podcasting, died way too young at the age of 25.
This podcast was recorded prior to Tony Khan firing CM Punk, but Mike Davidson is steadfast in his belief that this has been a one year work. He makes a good case, but he seems to be one of the very few believing everyone is in on it.
CNWEA cancelled a show in Winnipeg. That’s not news, it’s happened countless times. But the boys break down why promoters have to focus on credibility to enhance their brand in Winnipeg wrestling.
In the Mailbag, the boys talk who their favourite referee was in the Winnipeg wrestling scene. And more importantly what makes a referee really valuable on a show.

Coming off a hugely successful week at BeezSheez Wrestling the boys are back with plenty to talk about. Could Winnipeg be a market both WWE and AEW could go to war over? WWE just set a market record in Winnipeg for highest grossing event in the history dating back to 1986. A well placed source has told Mike Davidson that AEW is due back in Winnipeg in April, leaving the guys to speculate that Canada Life Centre will get a WWE event during the Road To Wrestlemania Tour in February or March.
Winnipeg Pro Wrestling is swinging for the fences with the Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball team. Heavyweight champion Bobby Schink will be throwing the ceremonial first pitch at Mondays game as the Company gets ready to run its biggest event to date Rumble at the Burt this coming October.
If WPW isn’t the very best wrestling company in Western Canada, Top Talent Wrestling in Edmonton has been doing just about everything right. Recently Top Talent signed a distribution deal with FITE TV. One of the top feuds in recent memory, Bobby Sharp vs El Lobo Andy Anderson has been featured on their events.

Primos Wrestling promoter Graeme Keam released a video shooting off about naysayers to his wrestling company. He went as far as to reference the “Mike Davidson talk show” and being assessed as the 3rd place promotion in town. That leads off the show with Mike Davidson, Producer Chris and “The Mecca” Shane Madison sharing their opinions on the promo and everything Primos Wrestling.
Marty Jannetty was the subject of the season finale of Dark Side of The Ring. Now it’s time for a more personal version of Deez Seez of Reez where Mike & Mecca will talk about a few guys who were the centre of controversy locally.

Is a comeback in the works? “The Mecca” Shane Madison is causing a bit of a stir in the Winnipeg wrestling scene. The Regular Special Guest Star on BeezSheez has definitely been considering one more run, a comeback, at least a match or two. Mike Davidson surprised his long time friend and close associate by grilling him on how close he is to making an official announcement to make his return.
How about Top Talent Wrestling in Edmonton announcing a distribution agreement with one of the largest content providers in Combat Sports, FITE TV!? Top Talent has established itself as a leader in Western Canadian wrestling, producing extremely high quality events on a regular basis in Edmonton. That led to a conversation about why or when Winnipeg Pro Wrestling should do something similar.

The list is eye opening and begs the question why do some guys get cancelled in wrestling and others skate by with no consequence.
Speaking of consequence, there are reports and rumors that someone has been calling host venues for Primos Wrestling trying to get their upcoming 4 events cancelled with “The Villain” Marty Scurll on the card. Shane Madison says he knows who is doing it and he isn’t amused.

Is Marty Scurll cancelled in the wrestling business? Or are we about to see one of the great wrestling redemption stories? Primos Wrestling Winnipeg has announced they have booked Scurll to headline against Canadian standout Mentallo. The discussion of this decision is controversial and quite hilarious. Scurll may be one of the most talented wrestlers in the world, but he might be way too hot to handle. Promoter Graeme Keam also booked Marty Scurll for a spot show where the promoter will team with the international standout to take on Robby Royce and ATM.
Darkside of the Ring did a deep dive on Abdullah The Butcher and did a great job covering the Abby/Devin Nicholson lawsuit. Did the madman from Sudan victimize Nicholson? Mike Davidson has a very interesting take on that.
